A Belt Driven Press
Manufactured by Pattinson Bros, Sheffield.
Obtained from George H Greensmith, Sheffield.
After many years in storage in one end of the main Forge building, the Sheffield Press was mounted on two pairs of old iron wheels and dragged over to the side of the South Yorkshire Iron Works Building. Motive power for the move was the webmaster's 20 year old landrover.
During a lull in the proceedings, the driver was able to get a photograph of the move.
