Duncan is currently the Resident Millwright for Top Forge.
Duncan has been a working Millwright for over forty years. His experience and knowledge of all aspects of mechanical and hydraulic engineering is unrivalled.
He set up his own business in 1984 that has tackled many jobs large and small both a Top Forge and across Britain. He has for a time worked with his son, Glen, and they have been joined when necessary by a network of highly skilled craftsmen - Blacksmiths, Carpenters, Pattern Makers, etc.
Duncan is an expert on the uses of water and steam as alternative power sources. This can be used to generate electricity for in-house use, or for sale to the National Grid. He has been able to help with grant applications to regional and national bodies, and has an established relationship with English Heritage
