
This Photograph was taken in February 2000. It shows the remains of the Shingling Hammer (used to press the slag from within the puddling iron and from it into 'Puddling Bars'.
Note the iron rims of the breast shot waterwheel, the square iron shaft and the four limbs of the cam wheel. The Hammer had a composite wood and Iron frame and trunnions.
