This Photograph was taken in February 2000. It shows the remains of the Shingling Hammer (used to press the slag from within the puddling iron and from it into 'Puddling Bars'.
Note the two iron rims of the breast shot waterwheel, the remains of the iron and wood frame of the Hammer. Also note that the hammer is well below the surrounding ground level.
